Amalia Café is rustic restaurant located on the cobblestone Palm Passage, in the center of Charlotte Amalie St. Thomas. This local favorite features Spanish cuisine with a tasty selection of “tapas” (appetizers), exquisite seafood dishes, and delectable Spanish inspired deserts.

Amalia Café trains their Dominican Republic chefs with an intense course of Spanish culinary traditions, which they incorporate in every savory dish. Their lunch menu includes appetizers of garlic shrimp, mussels in a brandy sauce and entrees of Scallops Oscar and Salmon Ammiel. Enjoy dinner appetizers of grilled shrimp, escargot, scallops sautéed in an apple brandy, and entrees of salmon, red snapper, seafood casserole and more. Banana Tree Grille is located high atop Charlotte Amalie Harbor. The restaurant’s higher elevation allows for sweeping views of the bustling harbor and the magnificent Caribbean sunsets. The former prestigious hotel has recently been used only for time shares, and allows dining guests to enjoy the spectacular views and divine food. Take picturesque landscape from the two open window dining rooms that provide a full view of St. Thomas.

The Banana Tree Grille cuisine is packed with flavors influenced by Asian, Caribbean, and Italian cuisines. House specialties include sugar-cane-and-cocoa-lacquered tuna, lobster tail tempura with an orange-pepper sauce, and mango-and-mustard-glazed salmon. Prices for these mouth watering dishes average at 24-36 dollars, but have a large spread from between $20 and $49, depending what type of entrée you order.

Agave Terrace is famous for its fresh sea food dishes and spectacular views and is located on the east end in Point Pleasant Resort and Villas. The restaurant is perched on a cliff amidst tropical gardens and provides you with breath taking views of the entire island. Dine al fresco on the finest food and enjoy being serenaded by local music throughout the week.

Agave Terrace’s menu focuses primarily on fish, lobster and crab legs but is also renowned for their pasta and steak dishes. Some of their menu items include Coral Bay Crab Cakes, Alaskan Jumbo Crab Legs, Jamaican Coffee Smoked Pork Loin, Caribbean Vegetable Pot Pie, and a selection of freshly prepared fish. Their entrées average at prices ranging in 30-40 dollars, with appetizer prices from 7-12 dollars.

Craig and Sally’s is a charming café and Wine Bistro located in Frenchtown St. Thomas. Their open air pavilion dining allows for beautiful views of downtown and a refreshing Caribbean breeze.

The cuisine at Craig and Sally’s includes a selection of pasta dishes, steaks, and seafood.  Most of their dishes have a European and Asian influence, which allows for a variety of flavors to choose from. Craig and Sally’s menu is complimented by an extensive wine list to enhance the flavors of any dish of choice. Featured entrees include Roast pork with clams, filet mignon with macadamia-nut sauce, and grilled swordfish. Entrees are at reasonable prices ranging from 16-24 dollars.

Craig and Sally’s was voted “Best of St. Thomas 2008” and was reviewed by many locals and critics as “Best Local Dining” in St. Thomas. Craig and Sally’s wine list has won six awards from Wine Spectator’s magazine for their superb wine list, which features over 300 wines.
