The Buccaneer

The Buccaneer is an upscale country club resort that is spread over 340 acres of tropical landscape. This luxury resort was founded in the 17th century, and is known for its spectacular ability to blend old world charm with modern amenities. The Buccaneer is home to three of St. Croix beautiful beaches, each providing a different and spectacular atmosphere. The Buccaneer is located a short 15 miles from the airport, and only 2 miles away from the main town.

Family-owned and operated for 62 years, the Buccaneer embraces all ages and provides an array of family activities and tailored accommodations. The hotel features a Kids’ Camp which hosts  beach activities, treasure hunts, nature walks, games, and crafts await our campers daily year-round, from 9:30am to 5:30pm.

The Buccaneer features a variety of suites for families of all ages. Their accommodations include the Family cottage suites, The Ficus and Frigate Suites, Deluxe Oceanfront rooms, and the Luxury Beachside Doubloons. Each suite provides a spacious atmosphere providing enough room for families of four to five. All rooms have refrigerators for snacks and drinks. Wireless access is available in all guest rooms at no charge and in most public areas of the hotel.

The Buccaneer is home to three beautiful beaches of St. Croix. Mermaid Beach is the main beach, and is home to the hotel’s water-sports center. The Grotto beach is a great place for the parents to hang out, featuring a pool and grill alongside the sparkling Caribbean waters. Enjoy a scenic walk to Whistle Beach and spend the day in the secluded cove. Tetherball, basketball and volleyball games are all set up beachside for some more family fun.

This large estate provides an array of island activities for you to enjoy during your family vacation. Throughout the estate you can find an 18-hole golf course, eight tennis courts, a pro shop, a health spa and fitness center, water sports center, two swimming pools and four restaurants. Buck Island National Park is a favorite St. Croix attraction that is a must-see during your stay. Horseback riding, kayak tours, and shopping are located a few miles away in the town of Christiansted.
