At “ The Pickled Greek” restaurant the motto is “It’s like Greece without the airfare.” This family run restaurant bases its food off of generations of recipes passed down through their Greek ancestors. This recently opened restaurant is gathering a lot of attention for their home styled meals that are rich with flavor.
The Pickled Greek’s menu features Greek favorites such as dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), souvlaki (kebob), gyros (Greek tacos served on pita bread), and mousaka (eggplant based dish). The Pickled Greek was recently voted St. Croix’s “Best New Restaurant/Bar 2009” by the readers of the daily news. Their head chef Aaron Matlofsky & The Pickled Greek also came in Second Place for Best Appetizer at the “Taste of St. Croix 2009” competition.
