At Home in the Tropics B&B Inn

At Home in the Tropics B&B, located in the heart of the city of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, in the US Virgin Islands, takes its design from the historical architecture of Danish West Indians.

The Inn was built by Danish settlers in 1803. It originally served as a barracks for the private guard of the Danish Governor. During two centuries the property has also been utilized as government offices and a private residence.

After At Home in the Tropics was purchased the historic residence / hotel was restored to include modern amenities, which today make a guest’s stay a comfortable experience amidst the property’s retained historic charm.

This St. Thomas Bed and Breakfast is full of bright colors, spacious rooms, and spectacular views.  At Home in the Tropics is a gated property that is surrounded by magnificent mansions and ancient ruins of St. Thomas.

Throughout your stay you can enjoy your time walking the estate and taking in the extensive views of the harbor and the colorful flora.
